Peaceful, relaxing stay

"We loved the cabin. It was very private and also has a fire pit that we enjoyed. The kitchen is large and so is the family room. We would stay here again. The only improvements I would suggest are a new mattress in the master suite and the heat didn't seem to work well in master suite either.

After Christmas visit

"The cabin was very well kept and clean. We were not happy with the condition of the bed and living area furniture. The bed was old and you could feel the springs. We stayed 3 days and the last night we collected all extra pillows to sleep on to cover the springs. The couch and live seat had missing pleather. Also not enough towels there were 6 bath towels for 4 people for 3 days. It looks as if the owners put their old furniture in the new and amazing cabin. The location was about 15 minutes to the city center which was ok. The road to the cabin was a little scary steep and small. We drove a 4 wheel drive so a much larger than normal vehicle. Over all we had a good visit it could have been a nicer stay with a few changes and the bed is a big deal. I hope this review helps make the needed changes for the next visitors.

Boys trip successful again

"This is the second time we have stayed here and I can say the experience has been consistently good. We enjoy the spacious parking area that provides enough room to turn around in and plenty of room for the cornhole boards. The interior is very clean and they provide more than enough towels to accommodate the capacity. The large front porch provides ample sitting room and a place to store our fishing gear out of the weather. I look forward to staying here again for many years to come.

"Cabin is beautiful, scenery is beautiful, staying a hour away from the Gatlinburg is worth it because of the drive you have to do thru the mountains. The only reason why I can't give this cabin 5 stars is because both mattresses are absolutely shot and need replaced. I had to sleep on the couch after the first night.

Charming Cabin

"We enjoyed our stay in this new cabin. The unit was extremely clean and exactly as described. I didn’t realize the cabin doesn’t have WiFi so that was a bummer as we had zero signal in our phones. If we had an emergency, we would’ve had no way to call for help. I’ve stayed at far more remote places than this cabin and had WiFi. The only other complaint we have is the mattress wasn’t very comfortable, it felt like very low quality. The bedding could definitely be better quality as well. The shams looked as if they’ve never been changed out and had several stains on the back.

Great little cabin in the woods!

"Great cabin overall. However, cabin needed cleaning when we showed up, we had to clean before we could unload our car. Beds/pillows uncomfortable, recommend replacing both. Bed coverings were worn and coming apart at the seams. A fire-pit would have been nice to have and some gravel around the bbq so we didn't have to step around the mud. A patio table and chairs for the front porch would be a good addition since there are only three stools to sit at the kitchen island for eating. Wifi would be a great addition as well. Had to leave a day early for personal reasons, called the office to advise of our early departure and the office staff didn't extend the southern hospitality we expected, he sounded offended and frankly I thought he was a bit rude. Overall, it's a beautiful cabin for relaxation.

"The washing machine still does not work, washes the clothes but the spin cycle does not start and one ends up hand-pressing the clothes so that they can put it in the dryer. We called the number they gave us but they told us they would let management know. Obviously that has never happened, since, a long time ago the problem comes out in the reviews. Besides that, the place is very beautiful and quiet.

"My family would definitely come back to this cabin. we had service, the drive up the mountain wasn't bad at all. The only thing I could complain about is the washer machine, it wouldn't rinse my clothes so we had to ring them out ourselves and then dry them.

"We had never stayed in the Smoky Mountain region before and initially found our cabin through VRBO, but decided to book directly with Yellow Rose, the property's manager. Our stay was wonderful, the cabin was in great condition, the outside is starting to become overgrown, and the only glitch to our stay was the loss of water to the cabin on our last night. We informed the property manager and even though we did not get the water back the next morning, they refunded us a night's stay.

Cute Little Cabin!

"We had a wonderful stay at the cabin in the woods! Everything was clean and neat when we arrived and the cabin had all the essentials that it claimed, and none that it didn't (i.e. bring your own shampoo). We also brought our own nonstick frying pan, as instructed by a previous guest and that was definitely helpful.

Only complaints would be:
1) The washer/dryer, though it appears to be new, malfunctioned. There was a note on the washer with instructions, telling me it was common, but even when I followed the note's guidance, the washer still kept going in loops leaving our clothes soaked. We had to wring them out and move them to the dryer, which then wouldn't allow you to turn off the constant beeping, though we tried.

2) The bed(s) were pretty hard. This is obviously personal preference so some may like them, but I found them to be VERY firm.

3) Pillows were thin. I slept on 2 and this helped some. Again, perhaps this is personal preference but it definitely felt like they skimped in this regard. You may want to bring your own pillow.

Other than these minor issues, our stay was great. We had one night with an issue with the alarm system and the customer service at Yellow Rose was very responsive and friendly.
