Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!

"The cabin overall was good but the beds were hard & the pillows too soft. It was small for 5 people, 1 being in a wheelchair.

"I’d say my only two complaints would be the floor in the living room/kitchen needs to be replaced. My children couldn’t walk around barefoot because it gives splinters. We kept picking them out our feet. And only one room has a tv so the kids hated it. Otherwise it was a cute and cozy cabin.

"Deep Creek has been an annual event for our family for over 30 years. The Bryson Patch cabins have been our "Home away from home" for close to 10 of those years, #1 being our favorite. The work done there since last year was great. It was just right for us, once again. And Yellow Rose was easy to work with. A great experience for us.

Great place, NOT a 5 minute walk to Deep Creek entrance

"The description was accurate except for the "5 minute" walk to Deep Creek AND it is NOT across from the entrance. It is more like a .5 mile distance away. Other than that, the cabin was good for the $. Firepit was nice - except when the person mowing showed up when we returned from our outings & left grass clippings all over the firepit area. There was plenty to do in Bryson City & nearby towns. Do be aware that the one shower is extremely small - more like a motorhome stand-up shower. I do recommend.

"Once again we really enjoyed the cabin. There are several maintenance issues in the cabin that are inconvenient and seem unnecessary to leave undone: badly squeaking door hinges in bedroom, kitchen very poorly supplied with some basic eating utensils,the new fridge is horribly out of level & rocks when the door is opened, etc. Nothing that ruined the stay, but did detract. Was glad to have 2 keys available again this time. The location is so perfect for our purpose.

"Location was amazing. The beds were very hard and extremely uncomfortable though. When we arrived for check in our cabin had not been cleaned. However, they got the cabin cleaned quickly after a phone call. My concern though is that they utilized the same comforters for the beds as the group before. They comforters has a little bit of a musky smell. The sheets were cleaned so that’s what mattered most.

"We had a great time. Our family tent camps at deep creek and we were less than a mile from them. We enjoyed the beautiful area in the park and tubed and enjoyed family time. We were close enough to other parts of the mountain to make some day trips to laurel falls, mingo falls, we tried grotto falls but could not find parking. However my
Point is we were close enough to experience all the anomie’s had to offer and were were out of the hustle and bustle of all the tourist traps. It was a great stay.

"It was okay. The first day of our stay, there was power outage and that left us in a cold cabin with no heat , microwave and electric stove.
The beds left everyone sore with bad back pain.
I would say overall it was ok but not great.

"When we arrived the place was not clean furniture was very uncomfortable beds need to be replaced kitchen pots pans dishes and utensils need to be replaced shower in master bath was to small there was a lack in the secondary bathroom. In all it needs to be emptied out and cleaned and all new furniture and kitchen replace.

Fall Break Trip with Kiddos

"Overall this was a decent trip and the rental met our general needs for a fall break trip with the kids. Everyone had their own bed and the fire pit was our favorite part of the rental.

Items the property manager MUST improve if I were to recommend ANYONE renting here:
- SAFETY ISSUE: We got stuck in the main bedroom because the door knob screws were not tight and came loose when we tried to turn the knob to exit the room. There was no turning the knob to get the latch to unstick. Luckily, we were crafty and able to get out after a few minutes but it would have required an emergency call to management to get us out (good thing we had our phones with us in the room). I am not the first person to report this either, another renter reported this in late 2019. The management company NEEDS TO MAKE THIS A PRIORITY because this is a significant safety issue. God forbid someone close the door and a fire occurred at the cabin this could result in loss of life.
- SAFETY ISSUE: General quality of the kitchen needs improvement. Some drawers would fall out if you pulled them too far, the shelf in one of the cupboards was propped up with a coffee can, broken tongs were in one of the drawers, stove door would not fully close.
- SECURITY/PRIVACY ISSUE: Main bathroom had a sheer curtain on the back/exit door of the cabin which was odd as the toilet was right next to the door. You could easily see inside, especially at night. That window should be covered with a solid curtain and not sheers.
Some overall things the property manager needs to improve if I were to rent here again:
- More accurate listing of amenities. In the listing it stated a dishwasher & dvd player were in the unit though they were not. We called to get a dvd player as we brought several movies from home to watch. We called three times over three days of our five day rental and they never brought one.
- Kitchen area was not as clean as it should have been.

"We had a fabulous time and the cabin was perfect for our needs. We loved the new fire pit and there was plenty of parking. Sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs was perfect after a long day of riding our horses in the beautiful Smokey Mountains. This is our 3rd time staying in one of your cabins and we look forward to coming back.
