"Great view and very close to town. Driveway was really steep and there was not as much room for cars as I was expecting. The jacuzzi jets were not working well and the lights didn't turn on so we didn't use it. The downstairs shower had little to no water pressure. The dryer was not working properly so the clothes that were washed never got dry. The lights going outside to the firepit were very dim. There was a few dead spiders on one of the down stairs bed.

"relatively quite and isolated cabin on a ridge but still less than 2 miles from downtown bryson city. great view from the main balcony. nice open concept living room dining room and kitchen. not far from deep creek entrance to the national park.

"We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean upon arrival and it was easy to find. Drive way is a little steep but we got used to it after the first day. The only thing that we couldn’t get to work was the fireplace but that wasn’t a big deal since we only had one cold night. Would definitely rent this one again. Thanks

"This place was amazing. It felt like staying in a mansion to us. So much space was great for my little ones. And a extra space downstairs with a couch, tv and room to play was perfect for my 4 year old who sometimes needs an escape. My teens loved the place too. My husband and I enjoyed it for us and the whole family. Beautiful views, well cared for home and just what we needed. Close to town but felt like we we off to ourselves. Clean and taken care of. Perfect for families. We can’t wait to stay again. Highly recommend.

"This is our second time at Black Bear Crossing. My family and I come for a family reunion and it is the perfect location for us. It is minutes away from tubing and the national park. Central is located to Cherokee and other attractions. We enjoy sitting on the deck and looking at the beautiful view. This trip I had my younger ages 4-19 and they loved the home. The only problem we had that the AC in the upper level went out for a day and half and we congregated in the lower level to sleep due to how hot it was. Someone did come out and fixed it while we went out. Coming from flat land you must be able to drive up the steep driveway and make a quick turn into the drive, make sure you watch for the rocks on your right side. By the end of the second trip I learned how to back out to the road without going over the hill. It is a lovely place for families and we plan on coming again next year. And watch out for the Black Bears!

"We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was close enough to town to be convenient to all stores, but far enough from town to make it appear you were in the middle of nowhere. Very peaceful and restful! Enjoyed the deck and view off of it very much!

"Great view, great location, wonderful hot tub. Would stay here again. While there is a general warning about this being a mountain home, the driveway is very steep and if I had been driving my manual transmission would have struggled with the driveway.

"Loved the location. Tucked away but just down the street you are in town. Felt it could have been cleaner. We arrived and started checking things out and there was a roach in the kitchen. The tub in the bathroom had mold and gunk all underneath the overflow drain, the hot tub could have been cleaner. It felt like someone had dumped sand in it and I think this is the first time I have been in a hot tub that you didn’t smell any chlorine or anything.

"The fireplace did not work
one of the bedrooms downstairs had no electricity
downstairs outside had no electricity
The dishwasher did not work and had dirty dishes in it upon arrival
the hot tub lights did not work
the DVD player did not work and there was no batteries in two out of three remotes controlling dvd/ tvs
The fridge drawer was found broken
Overall this rental property has not been properly maintained

I did like the location and I liked The View

"Pretty bad, the area in bryson city was Awesome, the cabin we got was horrible! Ceilings falling in, roaches in the cabin everywhere, went got poison for them. Someone came in our cabin while we were out, stole from us,had to be trash man, doors were unlocked, then locked. Awful cabin,wish I'd have rented elsewhere.. unexceptable. Wish I could talk to property owner about the condition of this place!!

"I would say the hot tub is way past it’s prime. It wouldn’t heat up the first night we were there. Plus it’s old and nasty. The fireplace inside didn’t work. The shower heads need to be replaced. The patio doors did not lock. It was ok but over all house needs repair and updated. Driveway is very steep. It would be great with some updates. House I very roomy. Outside is not toddler friendly terrain. Great views though!

"Very clean, comfortable vacation rental. We enjoyed the open floor plan, spacious living areas, and deck with hot tub. Nice view from the deck. They aren't kidding about the steep driveway. Backing out can be a little intimidating at first. We loved everything about it and would stay here again. Only complaints: 1)there were no hot pads/potholders 2)we had to pack our trash out with us to avoid a $20 fee because although the checkout instructions said there was a trash can provided, there wasn't one.

"We were not provided with the wifi password and because we arrived on the weekend, had to wait until regular business hours to receive it. When we used the dishwasher it did not work and flooded all over the floor. The fireplace did not work. When we called the management company regarding these issues we were told we would receive a call back from a supervisor, this call never came. We did, however, receive a phone call on the home’s land line that was a scam call that asked for me by name. I can only imagine how they knew to ask for me. The lawn maintenance crew came while we were there, which caused problems navigating the driveway (our little car could barely make it up the very steep incline). The location was good, but I would not stay here again.

"The layout of the cabin was just as described. The view was gorgeous and it is only 1 1/2 miles from downtown Bryson City so the location was excellent and it was very clean. Management was great and easy to deal with. The cabin has character, and we would definitely stay here again simply because of the view and location of the cabin to Bryson City.

"Front porch light did not work, first night there, a friend fell (could not see, no light) dislocated shoulder, we called 911, spent our first night at the hospital. The Direct TV did not work, took several days to resolve, dishwasher leaked water all over kitchen floor, shower in down stairs bath had a trickle shower for a hot shower, moldy shower curtain, I personally bought a new liner for the shower curtain. Door would not lock in one downstairs bedroom. Fireplace did not work. No blankets on the beds or in the closets, Temperatures for several nights were in the 30’s! Beautiful view but Not worth the $$$ !!!! Reported to BBB of NC.

"Black Bear Crossing was great. The view was mama love the open concept and wanted to stay. It was close to everything we wanted to do. The only thing was that the showers has 2 temps it was either cold or hot, we could never get a warm shower. I give our experience 9 out 10 because of the showers.

"House was clean, well designed and spent most of our time at the house on the deck. Check in was a breeze. Close to town which was good but off the main road which surprised us. However, it was the road to nowhere so still had the nature feel.Close to all of the adventures you'd look for in a mountain cabin. I would definitely stay here again.

"I wanted to like this property and it has the potential to be really nice smells musty, 3 of the doors didn't lock properly, the kitchen was not fully equipped, the railing on one section of the balcony was not secure and the driveway is VERY steep and scary to drive into and out of...I would NOT want to attempt it in any bad weather unless you had 4 wheel drive or chains. The location is really good if you want to overlook everything else. The property management company was wonderful to work with, very personable and professional.

"This property was once beautiful, but now is in a great need of an update, showing multiple signs of wear and tear. Musky smell, some appliances outdated and ineffective, broken interior and exterior door locks, lack of hot water in bathrooms (reported during stay our stay, plumber's inspection made it worse), cobwebs in bathrooms, dirty interior doors etc. This house will provide shelter and basic needs but visitors should not expect much beyond that.

Loving Bryson

"This was the first time my family and I have ever stayed in a home in the past we have stayed in hotel. This was by far a wonderful experience all staying together, cooking together, etc. This was also our first time in Bryson which was for a reunion of family we had never met. Yellow Rose answered all of my questions and was very easy to work with. They called to check on us when we got there and they called the day before we where to leave which I appreciated. The only thing I would suggest in such a beautiful property which we did not want to leave is to fix the ceiling tape which had come loose. All in all I would highly recommend using Yellow Rose and the properties, our property and view compared to the other families we meet. NO comparing - we are coming back and bringing more family.Oh and they are very convenient to downtown Bryson and the surround communities.

Beautiful Bear Creek Crossing!

" The location of bear Creek Crossing couldn’t have been better. Only 1.6 miles straight up the road from many restaurants and amenities in town, and the view was spectacular! The house was well appointed extremely spacious and the hot tub was a plus
It was a little tricky trying to figure out the Jacuzzi initially, but then we realized that the labels for the buttons had been worn off and once we determined the correct ones for the Jets, the Jacuzzi worked just fine. I used a sharpie to ensure the button for the Jets was noted for future occupants.
Yellow Rose Realty was very easy to deal with. I would suggest however that whoever cleans the house or re-supplies items takes a better look at lightbulbs in the facility, because there are no spare lightbulbs and over the Jacuzzi only one out of five lightbulbs was working.
